Clarksville Academy football schedules independent games for 2027-29 seasons

Clarksville Academy football will compete on an independent schedule for the 2027-29 TSSAA cycle. The decision, announced on September 25, follows concerns about player safety and roster size, as the team has struggled with low participation. Director of communications Steven Wilson indicated that differences in school enrollment made competition increasingly challenging. Clarksville Academy has forfeited three games this season due to low numbers and currently holds an 0-5 record. The team joins Mt. Juliet Christian Academy, which also chose to go independent for similar reasons.
