Clemson quarterback Christopher Vizzina leaves game with left arm injury

Clemson starting quarterback Christopher Vizzina left the home opener against Georgia Southern on Sept. 12 with a left arm injury. Head coach Dabo Swinney addressed the status of the quarterback during a halftime interview on the ACC Network. Vizzina started the contest and directed three drives, recording one touchdown and one interception while completing four of seven pass attempts. Swinney noted that Vizzina reported a loss of feeling in his arm following the third drive. Tait Reynolds replaced Vizzina for the remainder of the first half, completing 12 of 17 passes for 160 yards. Clemson leads Georgia Southern 16-7 at halftime, though the match remains in progress.
