Clemson coach Dabo Swinney has not determined the team's starting quarterback following a 51-10 defeat to LSU on Sept. 5. The Tigers struggled with both Christopher Vizzina and Tait Reynolds in the season opener, managing only eight first downs during the game. Vizzina started the matchup but committed a first-quarter pick-six that LSU’s Jordan Ross returned 30 yards for a touchdown. Reynolds entered late in the second quarter for his collegiate debut but struggled to generate offense behind an overwhelmed offensive line. Swinney stated that the staff must review game film before deciding on the starter for the upcoming game against Georgia Southern on Sept. 12. The loss marks the most lopsided defeat for Clemson during Swinney's tenure.
