Cleveland Browns claim Bills rookie cornerback Toriano Pride Jr off waivers

The Cleveland Browns claimed cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. off waivers Monday following his release by the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo waived the seventh-round draft pick one day earlier while establishing the team's initial 53-man roster. Pride recorded nine tackles during three preseason games, including a matchup against the Browns on Aug. 22. While six cornerbacks were released during Buffalo's roster cuts, undrafted rookie Kani Walker went unclaimed and remains eligible to sign with the team's practice squad. Buffalo did not claim any players from the waiver wire. Pride was selected 220th overall in April after clocking a 4.32-second 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine.
