Cleveland Browns assistant general manager Catherine Hickman faced public backlash following a media appearance on Wednesday. During the session ahead of the team's Week 1 opener, Hickman wore a shirt featuring the phrase "Los Angeles Made Me Do It" alongside holes in the fabric. Critics on social media labeled the choice of clothing unprofessional, particularly noting the shirt's reference to Los Angeles shortly after the franchise traded Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams in June. The organization enters the 2026 season amid low expectations and ongoing roster instability. The team will start Deshaun Watson at quarterback for the opening game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 13. Watson secured the starting role following a competition with 2025 draft pick Shedeur Sanders.
