The Cleveland Browns are reportedly retaining quarterback Dillon Gabriel on their 53-man roster for the regular season. This decision marks the second consecutive year the team has opted to carry three quarterbacks. Gabriel, who made six starts as a rookie last season, joins starter Deshaun Watson and primary backup Shedeur Sanders in the quarterback room. Head coach Todd Monken previously named Watson the starter following a preseason competition against Sanders. Cleveland finished the previous season with a 1-5 record in games started by Gabriel and a 3-4 record in games started by Sanders. The Browns open their regular season schedule against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
