Cleveland Browns work out Connor Bazelak as quarterback room remains fluid
Summary

The Cleveland Browns evaluated several players on Monday, including quarterback Connor Bazelak, amid ongoing uncertainty regarding the team’s game-day roster configuration. Cleveland currently lists Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, and Taylen Green on its active 53-man roster, while Dillon Gabriel remains on injured reserve. Head coach Todd Monken has not ruled out using Green in a specialized package for the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Activating three quarterbacks for game day presents a roster challenge, as doing so would require sacrificing depth at other positions. While the workout of Bazelak does not guarantee an immediate roster move, the team continues to assess options to update its emergency quarterback list.
