Cleveland Guardians sweep doubleheader with two walk-off victories

The Cleveland Guardians defeated the Detroit Tigers twice on Friday at Progressive Field to sweep their doubleheader. Cleveland trailed in the opener but rallied behind a grand slam and a walk-off solo home run from Brayan Rocchio to secure a 7-6 victory. In the nightcap, the Guardians overcame a multi-run deficit as Travis Bazzana hit a game-tying two-run homer in the eighth inning. Bazzana then drove in the winning run with a walk-off single in the 10th inning to finalize a 4-3 victory. These wins moved the Guardians to 72-70 on the season and solidified their position in the American League wild-card race. The Detroit Tigers fell to 64-77 after losing both games despite leading for significant portions of the doubleheader.
