CM Punk hints at WWE return and teases SmackDown appearance

CM Punk suggested his return to WWE television may be imminent during a recent appearance at Cage Fury Fighting Championships in Rockford, Illinois. Punk, who hasn't appeared on WWE programming for nearly two months, playfully referenced the Friday night SmackDown show when asked about future events. He also noted his recent weight gain and joked about his travel habits. Punk lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42 in April and previously teased a title shot against Cody Rhodes. WWE Raw is set to be in Punk’s hometown of Chicago on July 6, with speculation on whether he will make an appearance there.
