CMLL staff and performers hold Claudio Castagnoli in high regard for his performance in Mexico. According to reports from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, officials and luchadors are impressed by the AEW star's ability to maintain energy levels while competing at the high altitude of Arena Mexico. Castagnoli successfully transitioned into the local style, previously winning the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship last fall. His recent work included participating in the CMLL International Gran Prix alongside Hechicero, where the pair remained in the ring for nearly 74 minutes. Castagnoli became the first AEW wrestler to sign a dual contract with CMLL in March and considers Arena Mexico his preferred venue for competition.
