Coaches announce 2026 Somerset all-county softball team selections

The Somerset County coaches selected the 2026 All-County Softball Team, with Elena Ritchey of Berlin Brothersvalley named Most Valuable Player. Ritchey recorded a 15-1 record and a 1.89 ERA, striking out 143 batters over 103⅔ innings. The first team includes players from several schools, including Berlin Brothersvalley, Meyersdale, and North Star. Second-team and honorable mention lists also recognized additional athletes. The selections reflect outstanding performances in the recent season.
