Liverpool players Cody Gakpo and Giorgi Mamardashvili participated in a training session at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday, signaling they will remain with the club past the summer transfer deadline. Speculation surrounding a potential move for Cody Gakpo intensified after a reported £80 million offer from Manchester City, which Liverpool officials rejected. Giorgi Mamardashvili also faced transfer interest, with Nottingham Forest reportedly making an inquiry, but no formal bid followed. The pair’s involvement in team drills suggests they are set to remain available for manager Andoni Iraola. Keeping these squad members provides stability as Liverpool prepares for the upcoming Premier League match against Ipswich on Friday. By retaining both players, the club avoids late-window upheaval and maintains depth across the goalkeeper and forward positions.
