Cody Monajjem named Blue FCU Girls Athlete of the Year

Cody Monajjem, a senior swimmer from Wellington, has been awarded Blue Federal Credit Union's Girls Athlete of the Year for the 2025-26 school year. Monajjem secured the title after a competitive four-round voting process, earning 50.3% of the votes. She celebrated her third consecutive Colorado state championship this year by winning the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:53.04 and finished as runner-up in the 100 backstroke. Not only is Monajjem the only individual state champion from Wellington during its four-year history, but she has also contributed to the growth of the Wellington-Timnath swim program, helping it expand from six initial swimmers to over 20. Monajjem's legacy includes three state titles and four runner-up finishes in her career.
