Cody Rhodes shared thoughts on Raw stars Je’Von Evans and Sol Ruca, pointing out their struggles on the main roster. Ruca's performance has been described as off, while Evans has toned down his pace, which may hinder his visibility among high flyers. Rhodes suggested that some backstage veterans may advise them to slow down due to jealousy, rather than what truly benefits their abilities. His comments were made during a recent podcast episode.

- 11:55 PMCageside Seats — Cody Rhodes thinks Je’Von Evans and Sol Ruca are getting bad advice from jealous stars
"My eyebrows raised a little when Raw stars Je’Von Evans and Sol Ruca didn’t get to wrestle on either night of SummerSlam earlier this month. Ruca’s ring work on the main roster has generally looked off, and this is a factor behind her struggles to get over on Raw. Meanwhile, Evans seems to have toned down his very fast pace just enough to where it’s a little harder for the Young OG to stand out from the rest of the high flyers on the roster. This makes me wonder if either star is trying to incorporate backstage advice from people in WWE that simply doesn’t work to their strengths right now. Cody Rhodes didn’t directly address that point on the latest episode of his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, but he did imply that some of the vets who tell these stars to slow down in the ring are doing it from a place of jealousy. “There’s this real big argument in wrestling right now about…less is more, and the moments. And there’s such truth to it, and I understand it. And then there’s this rebellious, punk rock culture that’s [come up] like, more is more. You look at Je’Von, you look at Sol Ruca, and some of the stuff they’re doing. And you can tell sometimes when some of these guys tell them, ‘Hey, do less,’ you can tell it’s because they could never do that. Right? So, there’s somewhere in the middle, is the reality.” Do you think Je’Von Evans and Sol Ruca should listen to the veterans who are telling them to change their ring style from NXT, or is that very advice contributing to some of their problems on the main roster? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
