Colby Covington criticizes Jon Jones, involving Daniel Cormier in feud

Colby Covington has escalated his feud with Jon Jones by targeting Daniel Cormier. After Jones' protégé Gable Steveson suffered an upset loss to Sean Sharaf at UFC 331, Covington blamed Jones' 'bad energy' for the defeat. Jones responded, questioning Covington's success, which led Covington to invoke domestic abuse allegations against Jones and suggest Steveson should train with Cormier instead. The rivalry between Jones and Cormier, ongoing since their fighting careers ended, is marked by Jones’ previous victory over Cormier, later altered to a no contest due to a failed drug test. Cormier has indicated he is not interested in reconciling with Jones.
