Colchester United completed the signing of forward Kylian Kouassi from Blackpool for an undisclosed fee on September 1, 2026. The 23-year-old signed a two-year contract with the club, marking Colchester's ninth addition of the summer. Kouassi, who joined Blackpool in 2023, spent the previous two seasons on loan at Salford City and Cambridge United. During his recent stint at Cambridge, he made 14 appearances in League Two. The forward most recently played for Blackpool, where he contributed a goal during an EFL Cup victory over Grimsby Town earlier this season. He joins Colchester as the club continues to build its roster following the end of the summer transfer window.
