Colin Cowherd acquires minority stake in English Premier League club Ipswich Town

Sports broadcaster Colin Cowherd has purchased a minority ownership stake in Ipswich Town F.C. The investment was finalized through one of the funds associated with the English Premier League club. Cowherd, who hosts The Herd and founded The Volume podcast network, confirmed the acquisition but did not disclose the specific financial terms of the deal. Ipswich Town was valued at approximately $450 million following a formal ownership restructuring at the end of last year. The club returned to the Premier League this year after a stint in the Championship division. Cowherd joins a list of existing minority investors that includes singer Ed Sheeran, former NFL wide receiver Marques Colston, and former NBA player Udonis Haslem. A representative for Ipswich Town declined to comment on the arrangement.
