College football continues Sunday as the NFL regular season remains on hold

College football's Week 1 schedule continues Sunday, Sept. 6, featuring three matchups including ranked teams. Washington State visits No. 19 Washington in the Apple Cup at 4 p.m. ET. Later in the evening, No. 5 Notre Dame faces Wisconsin and No. 10 Ole Miss plays Louisville, both starting at 7:30 p.m. ET. While the collegiate schedule proceeds, the NFL remains inactive on this date. The professional football season does not officially begin until Wednesday, Sept. 9, when the Seattle Seahawks host the New England Patriots. Following the opener, the NFL schedule transitions to a slate of games on Sunday, Sept. 13, and Monday, Sept. 14.
