College football polls move to Tuesday release after Labor Day weekend games

The release of the US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25 has been delayed until Tuesday, Sept. 8, due to the remaining Labor Day weekend schedule. While the opening week of college football concluded several marquee matchups on Saturday, four games remain to be played through Monday. Saturday results included Indiana defeating North Texas 52-16 and LSU winning 51-10 over Clemson. Additionally, No. 1 Ohio State recorded a win against Ball State, while No. 16 Michigan secured a 13-12 victory over Western Michigan following a last-second play. The polls, which traditionally debut on Sundays, will now be issued between noon and 2 p.m. ET on Tuesday. This shift accounts for the full slate of activity concluding the opening week of the college football season.
