The College Sports Commission reported that collegiate student-athletes received nearly $1.8 billion in direct revenue-share payments from NCAA schools for the 2025-26 academic year. This payment system was established following the House v. NCAA settlement, allowing universities to compensate athletes directly. Approximately 307 schools across 33 conferences participated, benefiting nearly 35,000 student-athletes. The total distribution also included funds from Alston awards and increased scholarship spending. With the new academic year, the revenue-share cap increased to $21.58 million.
