The Colorado Avalanche selected center Egor Shilov with the 43rd pick in the NHL Draft on June 27, 2026. Shilov, an 18-year-old from Victoriaville in the CHL, was ranked 19th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting. He recorded 82 points, including 32 goals, in 62 games last season. The Avalanche acquired the pick as part of a trade for Valeri Nichushkin. Shilov is expected to return to Victoriaville for another season before attending Penn State in 2027-28.
