The Colorado Buffaloes open their 2026 season Thursday night with a road game against Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. The Buffaloes look to improve upon a 27-20 loss to the Yellow Jackets from last year's season opener, where the Colorado defense surrendered 320 rushing yards. Coach Deion Sanders enters the contest seeking his first career win in Atlanta, having previously lost two Celebration Bowl games while coaching at Jackson State. Sanders has adjusted team practice and sleep schedules to prepare for the road environment. The game will feature the Buffaloes' Go-Go offense against a Georgia Tech rushing attack led by Justice Haynes.
