Colt Emerson to undergo season-ending surgery for wrist injury

The Seattle Mariners announced that Colt Emerson will have surgery to repair a displaced tendon in his wrist, ending his season. Emerson has dealt with this injury since before spring training and will require the procedure after struggling with pain throughout the year. In his first major league season, he hit.190 with eight home runs over 69 games. Meanwhile, veteran infielder J.P. Crawford is on a rehab assignment and could be activated soon, while other injured players, including Cooper Criswell and Matt Brash, are progressing towards returns.
