Colt Fowler of Byrnes commits to the College of Charleston basketball program

Byrnes High School point guard Colt Fowler announced his commitment to the College of Charleston on September 5, 2026. The senior guard, recognized as the 2025-26 SCHSL Class 5A player of the year, confirmed his decision through social media. During the 2025-26 season, Fowler maintained averages of 24.3 points, 10.8 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game while shooting 48% from the field. He has recorded 1,474 career points and 777 assists for Byrnes since his freshman season. Fowler is currently rated as a three-star recruit and a top-40 point guard in the national class of 2027. His recruitment included interest from South Carolina, Charleston Southern, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia Southern, Oral Roberts, Presbyterian, UNC Greensboro, Weber State, and Wofford.
