Colts' Ben Nikkel switches from safety to wide receiver in camp
Summary

Ben Nikkel, a safety for the Indianapolis Colts, is transitioning to wide receiver during training camp. Head coach Shane Steichen highlighted Nikkel's versatility, noting he previously played as a wide receiver on the scout team and made significant plays. Nikkel, who joined the Colts' practice squad after being waived by Washington, did not play in any games last season. His previous experience at McPherson College included notable performances as a wide receiver, and this shift could enhance his chances of making the 53-man roster.
