ESPN Colts beat reporter Stephen Holder identified Sauce Gardner's presence as a key factor for the Indianapolis Colts in 2026. After a limited 2025 season due to injury, Gardner is motivated to return to All-Pro form, which could enhance the team's defensive strategy. Gardner, acquired via trade from the New York Jets, showcased his potential in limited action, allowing just a 54% completion rate. His ability to match up against top wide receivers provides flexibility for defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo as game plans are developed.
