Colts provide update on Alec Pierce's ankle injury recovery

Colts coach Shane Steichen shared an update on wide receiver Alec Pierce’s ankle injury during training camp on August 3, 2026. Pierce is currently on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list after undergoing ankle surgery in March, which had an initial recovery timeline of four to six months. Steichen noted that while Pierce is making progress, there is no set timetable for his return to practice. Pierce has been participating in practices by riding a stationary bike and observing from the sidelines. His absence has affected the performance of the Colts' receiving corps, which includes Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Ashton Dulin, and Laquon Treadwell.
