Columbia football shuts out Bethlehem 31-0 in second victory

Columbia moved to 2-0 on the season with a 31-0 Class A victory over Bethlehem on Thursday in Delmar, New York. The Blue Devils offense gained 443 total yards, including 324 yards on the ground. Shudipto Sikder led the rushing attack with 113 yards on 13 carries, while Desmond White added 117 yards. Tyler Connolly scored on a four-yard run and connected with Trey Pettograsso for a 12-yard touchdown pass. Carter LaGrave contributed a 41-yard field goal before halftime to extend the lead. Defensively, Columbia held Bethlehem to just 14 rushing yards and denied the Eagles entry into the red zone throughout the game. Columbia prepares to face Amsterdam on September 19, while Bethlehem hosts Mohonasen on September 18.
