Columbus Blue Jackets review the history of jersey number 26

With 26 days remaining until the Columbus Blue Jackets open their season at Nationwide Arena, the organization is looking back at the various players who have worn jersey number 26. The list of previous wearers includes Andrej Nedorost, who played 28 games between 2002 and 2004, and Todd Marchant, who logged 95 games before moving to Anaheim in 2005. Later players to occupy the number include Derek MacKenzie, Samuel Påhlsson, Corey Tropp, Kyle Quincey, Thomas Vanek, and Zac Dalpe. Most of these individuals have transitioned into coaching or advisory roles following their retirements from professional hockey.
