Columbus Crew acquire Anass Zaroury on loan to end transfer window

The Columbus Crew finalized their summer roster moves by acquiring winger Anass Zaroury on loan from Panathinaikos. The 25-year-old Moroccan international, who previously played in Belgium, England, and France, joins the club with an option to buy. His arrival comes at the close of a busy transfer window for general manager Issa Tall, who oversaw nine roster additions and eight departures. Zaroury arrives alongside Santiago Rodriguez, another late addition to the squad. The Crew currently face a five-game losing streak across all competitions, including four consecutive losses in MLS play. The team attempts to break this skid during their upcoming match against the Colorado Rapids on September 5 at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field.
