The Columbus Crew are finalizing a loan agreement for winger Nariman Akhundzade to Turkish club Erzurumspor. Akhundzade, 22, has made 10 appearances for the Crew without scoring but did provide an assist in the U.S. Open Cup. He has also started seven matches for the Azerbaijan national team. The Crew signed Akhundzade under the U22 initiative, which allows players to be signed at a reduced budget charge. Erzurumspor recently secured promotion to the Super Lig after winning the TFF 1 Lig in the 2025-26 season.
