Columbus Crew has signed defender Brooks Lennon via MLS Free Agency, effective until June 2027, with options for two additional seasons. The signing coincided with the Crew's trade of defender Yevhen Cheberko to LAFC. Lennon, a nine-year MLS veteran with 153 starts in 171 appearances, previously played for Atlanta United and Liverpool. General manager Issa Tall indicated that coaching changes influenced the decision to acquire Lennon, as the team's scouting approach shifted under new coach Laurent Courtois.
