Columbus Crew signs rookie Tarun Karumanchi to MLS contract

Tarun Karumanchi has signed an MLS contract with Columbus Crew, effective July 30, 2026. The contract extends through the 2027 MLS Sprint Season and includes options for three additional years. Karumanchi, a former UCLA midfielder, was selected 43rd overall in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft. After recovering from an ankle injury, he made his MLS debut on July 22 against NYCFC. He had previously contributed to Crew2 in MLS Next Pro before his promotion. Crew general manager Issa Tall praised Karumanchi's strong work ethic during his debut season with the first team.
