Columbus Crew's Jamal Thiaré sidelined with calf injury again

Columbus Crew forward Jamal Thiaré will miss more time due to a recurring calf injury. The issue has persisted throughout the season and has worsened after he attempted to return too quickly post-World Cup break. Interim head coach Laurent Courtois indicated the team will take renewed measures to help Thiaré recover fully this time. Thiaré, who has made limited contributions due to this injury, previously played 86 minutes in a draw with Inter Miami on August 1. He has logged just three starts in 12 MLS appearances this season, scoring once. This absence, combined with Wessam Abou Ali's season-ending injury, places additional pressure on the Crew's attacking options.
