Commanders add center Trey Hill to active roster

The Commanders signed center Trey Hill to their active roster on August 2, 2026. In a corresponding move, the team waived cornerback Tre Hawkins. Hill was selected by the Bengals in the sixth round of the 2021 draft and played in 25 games with three starts during his tenure in Cincinnati. He also spent time with both the Packers and Bears last season but did not see game action. Hawkins contributed in one game for the Commanders last season after playing 20 games for the Giants during his first two NFL seasons.
