The Washington Commanders will face the Miami Dolphins in a preseason game on Friday. Head coach Dan Quinn confirmed that center Nick Allegretti, recovering from a strained calf, will not participate in the joint practice or the game but could return by Sunday. Cornerback Trey Amos is sidelined again after landing awkwardly on his ankle during practice. His status is being assessed, but Quinn does not expect a long-term issue.
