Commanders sign D.J. Humphries after Tunsil injury

Summary

The Washington Commanders are signing former Pro Bowl left tackle D.J. Humphries to a one-year deal. This move comes after Laremy Tunsil underwent surgery for a torn triceps and is expected to miss most of the 2026 season. Tunsil's injury, sustained during practice, created an immediate need for depth on the offensive line. Humphries, who struggled since his Pro Bowl season, is anticipated to serve primarily as a depth piece, while Brandon Coleman is set to start at left tackle in Tunsil's absence. This signing marks Humphries' fourth team in four years.
