Commanders sign wide receiver Van Jefferson to their practice squad

The Washington Commanders have added wide receiver Van Jefferson to their practice squad ahead of the team's season opener. Jefferson, who initially joined the organization in March, was released by the team at the end of August. The veteran receiver recorded 29 catches for 350 yards and one touchdown with the Tennessee Titans last season. His career includes stints with the Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Washington's active 53-man roster currently features Terry McLaurin, Stefon Diggs, Antonio Williams, Dyami Brown, Luke McCaffrey, Treylon Burks, and Jaylin Lane at the wide receiver position.
