Connacht secured a 15-10 victory over Ulster in the Women's Interprovincial Championship opener at Affidea Stadium. The first half ended level at 5-5, with Ulster's Claire Boles and Connacht's Anna McGann each scoring a try. In the second half, McGann added another try, and Meabh Deely extended Connacht's lead with a penalty kick. Despite Ulster's efforts, including a try from Sophie Barrett, they couldn't regain control in the closing minutes. Ulster's next match is against Munster on August 15.
