EA Sports released the player ratings for NHL 27 on August 18, marking a milestone with Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid becoming the first player to achieve a 99 rating, known as membership in the 99 Club. Previously rated at 97 in NHL 26, McDavid finished the 2025-26 season with a league-leading 90 assists and 138 points. Following him in the ratings at 97 are Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche and Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning. The top forward ratings included others like Leon Draisaitl and Sidney Crosby, both rated at 95. NHL 27 is set for release on September 11, with defenseman and overall player ratings to be unveiled in the future.
