Conor Coady leaves Wrexham after contract termination

Defender Conor Coady has departed Wrexham following a mutual agreement to terminate his contract. The center-back joined the Championship side from Leicester City during the 2025 summer transfer window for an undisclosed fee. Coady made five starts for Wrexham at the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign before spending time on loan at Charlton Athletic, where he recorded 12 appearances. He has not appeared in any matchday squads for Wrexham this season and was entering the final year of his deal. The club is currently working to secure a transfer for defender Joe Worrall from Burnley as they look to finalize their squad before the Tuesday transfer deadline. Manager Phil Parkinson also intends to add another forward to the team before the window closes at 23:00 BST.
