Conor McMenamin returns to Glentoran from Coleraine after two months

Northern Ireland international Conor McMenamin has joined Glentoran, concluding a brief two-month spell at Coleraine. The 31-year-old winger returns to the Oval for his third stint with the club following his departure from Scottish side St Mirren earlier this summer. As part of the transfer agreement, Joe Thomson will move from Glentoran to Coleraine on a two-year contract. Coleraine manager Ruaidhri Higgins cited the physical strain of the daily commute from Downpatrick as a factor in the decision to facilitate the player's departure. McMenamin, who previously played for Glentoran from 2021 to 2023, did not make a start during his short tenure with the Bannsiders. Glentoran currently sits sixth in the Irish Premiership standings, while Coleraine holds the top position.
