Cooper Monroe and Heather Waterson win races at Cereal City Classic

The 2026 Cereal City Classic took place in Battle Creek on June 13, featuring 5K and 10K races. Cooper Monroe won the 5K with a time of 17:46, finishing ahead of Malachi Allersma and Nathan Okrasinski. Heather Waterson led the women's division in the 5K at 20:19, defeating Katie Stuchell and Micah Graham. Will Hulin secured his second consecutive victory in the 10K, finishing at 36:38.1, while Nana Ono was the top female finisher at 44:54. Participants enjoyed a traditional breakfast following the event as part of the National Cereal Festival.
