Corey Heim makes NASCAR history with two wins in first 15 Cup starts

Corey Heim has distinguished himself in NASCAR by winning two races in his first 15 Cup starts, a feat last achieved in 1965. Competing for 23XI Racing, he secured victories at the San Diego Street Course and the Brickyard 400, where he became the youngest winner at Indianapolis since Jeff Gordon in 1994. Remarkably, Heim has done this as a part-time driver, having only competed in eight of the first 22 races of the 2026 season. His performance has re-established the rarity of multiple wins from part-time competitors, a milestone not reached since 1987. Heim’s next races include the finale at Daytona on August 29 and the Southern 500 at Darlington on September 6.
