Corey Heim wins first NASCAR Cup in 13th start at Coronado

Corey Heim secured his first NASCAR Cup victory during the inaugural race at Naval Base Coronado on June 22. In only his 13th career start, Heim outperformed championship points leader Tyler Reddick. Denny Hamlin, team owner of 23XI Racing, praised Heim's performance, noting his prior success in the truck series. A crowd of 50,000 witnessed the event, which marked Heim as the third first-time Cup winner this season. Next, Heim will transition to a full-time position with 23XI Racing in 2027, joining Reddick and Bubba Wallace.
