Corey Kiner joins New England Patriots via trade from Arizona Cardinals

The New England Patriots acquired running back Corey Kiner from the Arizona Cardinals shortly before the roster cut deadline. Kiner, who went undrafted out of LSU in 2025, previously spent time with the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings before joining the Cardinals' active roster last December. Patriots coach Mike Vrabel maintained interest in the player since the pre-draft process, leading to the trade move to secure him for the 53-man roster. During his preseason action with Arizona, Kiner recorded 39 carries for 180 yards and two touchdowns. Now in New England, the running back joins a backfield that includes Rhamondre Stevenson and enters a system where he hopes to contribute as a physical, four-quarter player.
