Monster Energy Kawasaki has announced that Cornelius Tøndel will take over as the fill-in rider for Chase Sexton, who is recovering from ACL surgery. Sexton has shifted his focus towards the 2027 season, allowing Tøndel the opportunity to compete in the remaining rounds of the 2026 Pro Motocross season. Currently, Tøndel has two top-15 finishes in his five outdoor races so far and aims to improve on his combined standing, where he is 31st in SMX points with an 85-point gap from 20th place.
