Corpus Christi Hooks secure win as other Houston Astros minor league teams fall

The Corpus Christi Hooks earned a 4-0 victory behind a dominant pitching performance, limiting their opponent to two hits over nine scoreless innings. Jason Schiavone hit his 31st home run of the season, while Walker Janek also contributed a solo shot. Elsewhere in the system, the Sugar Land Space Cowboys dropped a 2-1 decision despite a combined effort from their bullpen. The Asheville Tourists fell 4-2 in their contest, with Nick Monistere and Jadyn Fielder providing solo home runs in a losing effort. The Fayetteville Woodpeckers also came up short, losing 5-4 after a late-game rally stalled in the final innings.
