Court adjourns trial for driver in fatal Anthony Joshua car crash

The trial of Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, accused in a December 2025 car crash involving Anthony Joshua, has been adjourned until November 17. The accident occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway while the group was traveling to visit Joshua's father in Ogun State. The crash resulted in the deaths of Joshua's personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami. Kayode faces four charges, including dangerous driving causing death and reckless driving, all of which he denies. Prosecutors allege the SUV carrying the boxer struck a stationary truck during an attempted overtake. Joshua, a two-time world heavyweight champion, sustained minor injuries in the collision and was later released from the hospital.
