Court of Dreams clinic hosts children and adults at US Open

Children and adults with disabilities participated in the Court of Dreams tennis clinic at Flushing Meadows. Held prior to the US Open Women's Final, the event provided participants the opportunity to learn foundational tennis skills on the tournament's professional courts. Various nonprofits, including ACEing Autism, Backyard Sports Cares, and the Beautiful Lives Project, facilitated the sessions. Families and volunteer coaches noted the impact of the program, citing its emphasis on community inclusion and the personal development of the participants. Volunteers assisted with various drills throughout the day as part of the initiative to increase accessibility in the sport. Organizers intend to continue the program and involve more organizations in future editions to broaden participation for individuals with disabilities.
